Hot-rolled sheet is manufactured at metallurgical plants by rolling a steel blank heated to a certain temperature on special rolling mills to the required length, width and thickness. Due to its increased strength, plasticity and good workability in various ways, this type of steel sheet is used in industry, agriculture, construction, housing and communal services, and everyday life for the manufacture of various products. It is used to manufacture parts for machines, machine tools, automobiles, sea and air vessels, supporting building structures, pipes, etc.
Hot-rolled sheets are produced by national Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers in accordance with the requirements specified in GOSTs 19903-2015, 19281-89,16523-97, 14637-89, 17066-80, 5520-79, 1577-93 according to the technical conditions of the manufacturers, fully comply with the requirements of European standards EN 10025, 10028, 10111, 10149, 10083, 10120, DIN 17100 and American ones – ASTM A36 / A36M, A1011 / A1011M, A568.

Hot-rolled sheet metal (hot-deformed) is differentiated by the following parameters:

• thickness (0.4-160 mm, with sheet metal with a thickness of 0.4 to 4 mm considered thin sheet metal, and thick sheet metal with a thickness of over 4 mm)
• manufacturing accuracy by thickness (normal, increased)
• flatness (normal, improved, high, extra high)
• edge nature (trimmed, untrimmed)
• strength group (normal quality and increased)
• finishing group (normal, increased)
• surface etching type (with unetched and etched surface)
• preservation method (without preservation and with conservation)
Hot-rolled sheet with a thickness of 0.4 to 3.9 mm inclusive is supplied in rolls, in sheets – over 4 mm.
The price for hot-rolled sheet is set taking into account the grade of steel from which the product will be made, its overall dimensions, manufacturing accuracy, taking into account the performance of additional operations. Rolled metal is supplied in rolls or sheets with a set of accompanying documentation (quality certificate).
